Coloring Books for Adults
Let your creativity flow by using colored pencils and coloring books. This practice generates wellness and stimulates brain areas related to motor skills, the senses and creativity. Pencils and coloring books will be available in the Great Hall.

Tai Chi—Advanced

The Advanced class is for students from previous Tai Chi classes who are
comfortable doing the complete Long Form.
Mat Yoga**

Join Gin for a mat-based gentle yoga class. Focused on alignment, stretching, mo- bility and balance. Pre-registration is required by calling the office at (804) 706-6689. Pre-registration begins on January 6th at 9:00am. The first 20
callers will be enrolled in the class while later callers will be added to the wait- ing list. Those on the waiting list will be given priority for the Spring session yoga class.

Acrylic Painting II

The class will continue to work with color theory; usage of brush types and how to achieve different painting techniques; and creating values and shading techniques. Students may continue to paint on heavy paper, canvas or canvas boards, various objects. This session students will select their own subject matter using a variety of materials for our canvas. Seated Tai Chi is for those not able to stand for an extended period of time.
Artificial Flower Arranging

Express yourself. Make that centerpiece a conversation piece with artificial flower
arrangement assembled from prefabricated material. Create your own individual
flower using crepe paper. Pre-registration is required by calling the office at

callers will be enrolled in the class while later callers will be added to the waiting

Brain Games is going to challenge you gently to wake up those brain cells and
have fun at the same time. We will play many different types of mind games and
word games that you will find stimulating.

This is a PBS series by Ken Burns covering the 170 year history of the creation and
preservation of the National Parks in the United States. Class will run through the
Winter and Spring Sessions in 2020.

Build your strength & flexibility by joining Gin for a senior yoga class, using a
chair for support and balance. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required by

Essential Oils for a Happy and Healthy Lifestyle
Instructor: Carol
In this five week class, we will explore the history of chemical free essentials oils
and how healthy choices can promote a healthy lifestyle. Carol will show you how
and when the oils should be used aromatically, topically, and internally. Learn how
they can be homemade and how they can be utilized in cooking.
Exercise with Evelyn
Instructor: Evelyn
Come “Exercise with Evelyn” with or without hand weights. I use 3 lb. weights
myself, but you will get a benefit even without weights. These exercises can be
performed gently or energetically depending upon your physical ability. Most of
the exercises can be done in a chair, if need be. Others will do them standing up.
Wake up those muscles that have been relaxing too long, and feel great..
Herbs with Granny Mac

Planting and growing herbs, using herbs in cooking, and medicinal properties of
herbs. Seed and small pots will be provided.
Watercolor Pencils: Butterflies
Instructor: Joyce
Create 8 bright, bold butterfly paintings with super smooth, super easy-to-use
Prismacolor Watercolor Pencils. Frame each one or use them as greeting cards.
Learn ways to “color” easier, to merge 2 or more colors together, and to keep colors
pure and vivid when adding water. All butterfly drawings, pencils, and paintbrushes
are provided for use during class. Class size is limited to 10. Preregistration
is required by calling the office at (804) 706-6689.

Come relax and enjoy a fun game of Cornhole! Also known as bean toss, soft horseshoes, and bean bag, the strategy of the game is to be the first player or team to reach 21 by taking turns throwing bags on the Cornhole boards. Dolls with a Mission

This class will utilize fiberfill, yarn, beads, and basic sewing skills to make simple dolls that will bring love, joy, and peace to children and adults. All skill levels are welcome and no prior sewing experience is required. Materials will be provided by instructor.

These are com-mercially made models to punch out of the stiff cardstock, follow the picture direc-tions to fold on pre-scored lines, and glue together. All supplies and tools are fur-nished. Taking Care of Business : A Detailed Look at End-of-Life Planning
Instructor: Kaylinn
While we cannot control how or when we die, we can control how prepared we are when the time comes. This class delves into all aspects of things to consider when end of life planning. Each week will focus on a different topic. Some topics we will cover are the value of funerals, how to navigate estate planning, state and fed-eral laws surrounding funeral homes, and why to consider pre-planning. The course will be led by Kaylinn Bezenar, a licensed funeral professional and pre-planning specialist with Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service. The goal of this class is to give you the tools and the confidence to take care of your business.

Extensive use of film and maps with class discussion.
